Guardey makes phishing awareness training fun by using gamification. With Phishing Simulations, you can now manually test the effectiveness of your team’s training efforts.
The rise of phishing threats
It’s no secret that phishing is the most common form of cyber crime, with an estimated 3.4 billion phishing emails sent every day. Here are some recent statistics to contextualize the growing threat:
- In 95% of breaches, human errors played a role, encompassing social engineering tactics, misuse, or mistakes.
- According to GreatHorn, 57% of organizations experience phishing attempts on a weekly basis.
- 35% of all ransomware attacks come through phishing emails.
- 26% of phishing attacks targeted public-facing applications, as reported by IBM.
The above statistics emphasize why it’s so important to invest in the phishing awareness of your organization.
Guardey’s phishing awareness formula: gamified training and simulations
At Guardey, we believe the best way to create phishing awareness is to combine gamified security awareness training with simulations.
Every week, users are challenged to test their cybersecurity knowledge and compete with their colleagues for the top spot on a company-wide leaderboard. Aside from phishing, users learn about relevant topics such as malware, password security, and deepfakes.
With Phishing Simulations, you can test the effectiveness of your training. First, you can establish a baseline level by launching a phishing simulation before you start training. Next, you can regularly launch a phishing simulation to learn if your team’s awareness level is improving.
Before we launched this new module, Guardey only offered Spear Phishing Simulations as a service. With this service, the Guardey team sets up a personalized phishing campaign that uses social engineering techniques to put your employees to the ultimate test. This service will still be available in the future.
From now on, you will also be able to set up your own phishing simulations within Guardey.
How to set up a simulation in Guardey
Setting up a phishing simulation in Guardey is easy. Here’s how it works.

First, go to your admin panel and create a new phishing campaign.

Next, pick a campaign template from our library. You can personalize each template.

Give your phishing campaign a fitting name.

Select the web domain from which your phishing campaign should be sent.

Now set a time and date at which the phishing emails should be sent to your users.

Determine if this phishing campaign should be sent to everybody in your organization, particular groups or specific individuals.

All that’s left to do is now review your campaign and schedule it for take off. Easy as that! With Guardey, you can send out a phishing campaign within minutes.
After the phishing emails have beent sent out, you can start monitoring results. In one view, you can see how many emails have been sent and opened, how many links were clicked, and how many users have submitted data. You can also check this on an individual level.
Train, test, learn, repeat.
With Guardey, you can now train phishing awareness, simulate a phishing attack, and learn from your users’ behavior to further improve your efforts in the future.
The number of phishing attempts are higher than ever and its more difficult than ever to separate phishing from reality. At Guardey, we’ll help you create a human firewall against those increasing threats.
