Cybersecurity month 2022

The European Cyber Security Month (ECSM) has started! October is the annual cybersecurity month. This month is all about cybersecurity, threats and raising awareness across Europe. It’s not for nothing that we as Guardey, launch in October 😉

Why does cybersecurity month exist?

The number of cybersecurity incidents worldwide continues to increase yearly, and the damage is only growing. Our entire life and work today take place entirely online. Ransomware

The second theme of European Cybersecurity Month is ransomware. In 2021, the amount of ransomware increased by 234% (European Cybersecurity Month, 2022). Ransomware is malicious software with which a cyber criminal takes your digital data hostage, as it were. To get this data back, cybercriminals often demand money or cryptocurrencies (e.g., Bitcoin).
